Ekaterine Mazmishvili has a MA of Arts at the Central European University in Prague and a Ph.D. in Arts at the Uniman Academy of Management (Grenoble).

In different years, the artist has attended art management practice and theory courses at the Academy of Art Management in Salzburg, as well as in the USA, Bulgaria, and Budapest.

She was the director of Marjanishvili State Theater for more than 15 years. Since 2009, founded and works as creative director of the “Tbilisi International Theater Festival”. In 2023, she was appointed as the director of the newly opened theater space “Theatre Studio 42”.
