Video Editing
DURATION:
20 Hours, 10 Lectures
SCHEDULE:
Twice a week: Tuesday-Friday |
19:00-21:00
The aim of the course is to provide both theoretical and practical foundational knowledge of the art of video editing, and to develop presentational skills necessary for academic and professional activities.
The course covers analysis and editing of video imagery in terms of both visual and content aspects within the media production field. It includes managing and editing content for different types of media using various editing techniques, as well as technical training in the Adobe Premiere Pro software essential for post-production. It also involves the classification, definition, and development of editing themes in terms of content, genre, and style.
The course focuses on constructing editing skills, ideas, and imagery around multi-genre (audio-visual example-based) content as a communicative “subject”, aiming to prepare students for complex discussions about this content. These discussions are thematically connected to artistic or documentary subjects, social activism, or public institutions.
