Course Objective – The goal is for the participants to become familiar with the business environment, the market, and the actors influencing it. The course should serve as a guide through which participants will be able to take their first steps in business. It will explore how theoretically discussed issues can be implemented in practice. Participants will form an understanding of the business plan. They will understand what a business plan is, who the potential users of the business plan could be, what components it consists of, and how it can be prepared. Participants will become familiar with the components of a business plan, and will be able to describe the business, the market, customers, and competitors. They will learn the methods for preparing a financial model, analyzing it, and using the analysis to make informed decisions.

Methodology – Theory, practical work, discussion.

Trainer – Mindia Gaprindashvili, a graduate of the Business School (ESM) at the Free University. Since 2011, he has been a visiting lecturer at both Free and Agricultural Universities. In addition to his academic work, he has 15 years of experience in the private sector. He has experience working as a financial director both in large Georgian business groups and in international investment projects.
